After realizing he had a face that wasn’t just meant for radio, Clarence Barnes winged his way West to Hollywood where he landed a plum role on a CBS sitcom pilot directed by Michael Lembeck. Over the course of a decade, Barnes worked for Clive Davis and side by side with stars like Milli Vanilli, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Patty Smyth, Billy Idol, Sinead O’Connor, Bobby Brown, The Ramones, Meat Loaf and Metallica.
Not one to rest on his laurels, or his type-A personality, but Barnes has padded his impressive resume becoming an entertainment industry multi-hyphenate. His TV credits include appearances on “Boy Meets World,” “Motorsports Unlimited” and for no apparent reason other than to prove he can do just about anything in front of a camera, Barnes did a two year stint as lead anchor for the 5pm news on Channel 3 in Lancaster, California.
In his spare time Barnes can be seen burning up race tracks across the country driving anything that has wheels. His passion for driving recently earned him a worldwide appearance on the Speed Channel as a competitor in the reality racing show “The Forza Motorsports Showdown.”
Fans coast to coast have heard him at stations including: “Z-100” New York, Westwood One Radio Networks’ nationally syndicated AC Morning Show, and currently every afternoon on Movin 93-9 from 3-7pm. |
