Born in Guatemala, but a true la native, Nena began her broadcasting career shortly after graduating high school. She attended East LA College earning an associates degree in Liberal Arts and landed her first radio internship with hip hop station power 106 fm.

Like many in this business Nena began as an intern working her way up the corporate ladder and eventually branched out in several departments where she has held positions such as promotions coordinator, traffic coordinator, continuity director, traffic manager, voice over talent and on air personality.

Radio and TV stations where Nena has worked include, Power 106 in LA, KRCA TV channel 62 in LA, mega 100 in LA, radio Unica network LA/Miami, Jammin z90 in San Diego, 100.3 the beat in LA, koko94 in Fresno and Univision TV KMEX channel 34 LA.

Nena loves to chow down! Some of her favorite dishes include Jamaican food, Mexican food (“gallo giro is the spot”), Peruvian food, the original Tommys on rampart, Salvadorian food (pupusas) and her alllll time favorite…just eating a home made dish from Guatemala, prepared by chef grandma!

Some of her favorite pastimes include belly dance class, hanging with her sis and nephew and soaking up the California sun next to a pool or an outdoor mall (“I hate being cold!”).

Currently Nena is back on the scene splitting her time between TV and radio. She has officially made the switch and you can hook up with her weekends at Movin 93.9!

(“I am so excited and blessed to be able to do what i love best and connect with people through radio. Call or email me, i want to get to know you!”)
